To do that, we need to keep furries fucking WEIRD.

Why furries? Sometimes it's as simple as fantasizing about having claws, wings, or a tail. Sometimes it's about seeing yourself in a body that is closer to one you identify with. Sometimes it's about putting yourself into a space where you can give yourself some control over circumstances where you don't have it, or to escape from a place you can't. It can be spiritual, it can be healing, or it can simply be inhabiting a version of yourself that you think is cool! It's you gifting you a self that you love and adore, or a self where it's safe to explore and discover what it is to be You.

An important part of being a furry is that the participant must identify as a furry. What does that mean? It means of course that anyone is free to create, draw, and enjoy anthropomorphism without having to identify as a furry. Being a part of furrydome is a choice! It's all about self-expression and the decision to be a part of the culture. It's your choice, and that's what matters most! Nobody can tell you that you are or aren't a furry.
